In the Metadata Editor, open the Editor Window with the destination .tmm file active in the worksheet.

If the template you want to insert has been saved to the ../Resources/Templates directory, it will appear as an item in the Template Tree to the right of your metadata. Simply double-click on the entry in the tree.

If the template is stored somewhere on your computer or network other than the templates directory, choose
Edit > Insert as template from the menu bar or press the Insert as template button on the toolbar.

A file locator dialogue will be invoked, and you will be able to choose any TimeMap metadata (.tmm) file to insert as a template.

If the elements you are inserting from the template already exist in the destination worksheet, a dialogue box will appear asking if you want to overwrite.

If you select No, the elements in the template will be added to your worksheet as additional elements, ie, the elements will be repeated and not replaced (see below for example).
