Multipoint georegistering local images

For some images, users will find it easier to specify the ground control points (GCPs) manually rather than drag-and-drop in the default TMGeoReg window. To do this, invoke your reference data and unregistered image as described in the previous section and then press the Multipoint Mode button on the toolbar.

TMGeoReg will then separate into two screens, with the image on the right and the reference data on the left.

The four default corner GCPs will appear (red crosses), and the user can add or subtract GCPs at will using the appropriate buttons on the toolbar, locating the new GCP on the (right-hand) image, then identifying the corresponding location on the (left-hand) reference screen.

Users may drag and drop the GCPs until the points on the left-hand screen correspond to the points on the right-hand screen.

Once the image is placed in its correct location, press the Create Worldfile button on the toolbar.
This will generate worldfile metadata in tmm format, in the same directory as your image, with the following filename convention: [imagefilename]_wf.tmm.

Using the Metadata Editoror's template function, this data can then be spliced directly into an image's .tmm metadata file. This process will generate all the information that is required to display a JPEG correctly.
