The TimeMap wizard is essentially a step-by-step graphic interface for the TimeMap metadata worksheet in the TMWin Metadata Editor. It is useful quickly generating TM metadata for local GIS files, and is especially useful for creating a shapefile from a table of point or 'bounding box' information.
In the the TMWin Metadata Editor, press the TimeMap Wizard button on the toolbar.
This invokes the Metadata Wizard dialog, which prompts the user to specify the datset and then prompts for a series of TM metadata values.
When the user presses Finish, the TMWin Metadata Editor will then open the new metadata file in the Editor Window.
Note: Metadata files that refer to a local dataset are conventionally located in the same directory as that dataset and have the same filename but with a .tmm extension. The Metadata wizard creates .tmm files following this convention.
