The ECAI Clearinghouse

ECAI metadata is stored in an Internet-searchable database known as the
ECAI Metadata Clearinghouse. Anyone with a web browser can search the ECAI metadata clearinghouse database. Searches can be applied to all elements or to a specified set of elements (e.g. to search only the title, or by time or geographical location).

The ECAI clearinghouse maintains a set of tightly defined metadata definitions appropriate to ECAI; stores metadata for all datasets registered with ECAI; stores the translation information necessary for TMWin to connect to, query and display data from Internet-accessible datasets; and provides a web-based metadata Editor for registered metadata at http://www.timemap.net/clearinghouse/clearinghouse_login.html.

What follows ia a description of how to register the TimeMap metadata you have generated with the Metadata Editor with the ECAI Clearinghouse to make your dataset accessible to other users. For a more detailed information about the Clearinghouse itself, visit the online information page at http://www.timemap.net/clearinghouse/help/.
