Once a .tmm metadata file has been registered with the ECAI Clearinghouse, the Clearinghouse automatically generates a set of connection metadata to facilitate access to your dataset by the TimeMap viewers. Both this connection information and your registered metadata is accessible for viewing and editing over the web.
First of all, go to the ECAI Clearinghouse login page at
And enter the same Login and Password you have used to register your dataset. A list of all the datasets you have registered with that username and password will then appear:
Clicking on either the name or the number of a dataset will take you to a metadata / connection information browsing screen:
This screen has links which allow for real-time editing of connection information and metadata -- any changes you enter and save will take effect immediately.
This is a useful tool but be warned: any changes you make to registered metadata over the web will not be automatically reflected in your local .tmm files. You will end up with one dataset, two sets of metadata and much potential for confusion! It is therefore a good idea to either make a habit of:
1. Using only the Metadata Editor to modify metadata, and then use the Metadata Editor to update the registration with the ECAI Clearinghouse; or
