Kiosk and CD

Sydney TimeMap

Sydney TimeMap is a partnership project with the Museum of Sydney on the site of First Government House and ESRI Australia to present historical information on the growth and development of Sydney through the use of interactive TimeMap digital maps, written accounts, images, sound, animation and other multimedia resources. A kiosk application was set up at the museum in Oct 2000.

Community Adversity and Resilience CD

This CD-ROM was developed to accompany Professor Tony Vinson's important Community Adveristy and Resilience report to the NSW and Victorian governments. The report and CD werte printed in several thousand copies by the two state governments. The interactive TMJava maps on the CD use the data on which the report was based toallow exploration of social disadvantage and the mediating role of social cohesion.

Parramatta Historical Archaeological Landscape Management Study

The Sydney University Archaeological Computing Laboratory cooperated with Godden Mackay Logan Heritage Consultants in a project to map the archaeological sensitivity across the Parramatta city council area, Sydney's second centre with rich historical resources. The project was originally carried out in MapInfo, later transferred to ArcGIS, and delivered as a TimeMap TMJava CD for use in the NSW Hertiage Office and Parramatta City Council offices in processing development applications.
