The TimeMap project team has developed a number of tools based around
TMWin and TMJava, as well as several database applications in PHP and
MySQL, building on our primnary concern to produce interoperable
repositories of data rather than one-off databases. We plan to make
these tools available progressively over the next few months (from Nov
2004) as Open Source projects.
ArchImage A PHP
application for managing a scatterd collection of digital images owned
by a several people, each with a number of personal image folders. The
application allows: indexing of new images in designated folders;
uploading images to a master folder; ownership and restricted access to
images; image resizing and watermarking on the fly; searching for,
selecting and downloading resized images; entering image geographic
location with TMDigitise; generating a TMJava map of the current
selection of images, with symbols linking back to the resized image;
generation of slide shows from a 'shopping cart'; tracking of renamed
or moved images.
