Know your Standards

The letter signifies the wireless communication standard on which the router is based: 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n. The first generation of wireless routers was “b,” then comes “g,” and then “n” – the latest generation. The major difference between the router standards is range and speed.

Single band vs. Dual band.
Wireless communication operates in two bands _ 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
